About the Positions: This Report for America corps member covers education, both K-12 and higher ed. The reporter is dispatched to various meetings associated with education — such as school board meetings, task force meetings, higher education meetings, etc. — to learn about the issues facing the academic system as well as the people involved in making decisions. The reporter also attends other, less-formal school functions to connect with parents and students affected by the decisions being made. Doing so will allow the reporter to produce content that includes multiple perspectives.
