Morgan Baum

Profile

As a small business entrepreneur, Morgan Baum is focused on building an engaged community, creating quality products, and supporting her team to reach their personal goals. Morgan has a track record of growing revenue, finding creative solutions to complex problems, and looking for partnerships to ensure mutual success. Morgan’s two personal mottos are “a high tide lifts all boats” and “we all smile in the same language.” For the last seven years, she has served as CEO of the Clay Coyote, an art gallery, pottery studio, and artist-entrepreneur incubator. Before that, Morgan served for fifteen years in the nonprofit advocacy and journalism industry. Morgan began her career with the Center for Public Integrity in Washington, DC as a writer and researcher focused on the media and telecommunications industry, during that time winning numerous awards and accolades for groundbreaking research on media consolidation and hidden fees. She went on to work for Consumer Reports in various roles including: Associate Director of Development, Manager of External Relations, Senior Organizer in Public Policy, and the Director of the HearUsNow campaign in Federal Policy. As a media contributor, Morgan regularly appears on the local CBS. She also has appeared on PBS, WGN, CNN, NBC, ABC, and numerous radio and podcasts. She holds a BS in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin (River Falls) and a MS in Fundraising Management from Columbia University in New York City. Above all, family is most important to Morgan. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their daughter and family dog, most often on Cape Cod or Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
