As the Director of Brand Strategy and Communications, you will oversee all external communication efforts, brand strategy, and public relations for The GroundTruth Project and its flagship programs, Report for America and Report for the World. This is a full-time leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO. You’ll play a pivotal role in elevating the organization’s public profile, enhancing its visibility, and positioning it as a thought leader in journalism and related industries.

Director of Philanthropy

As the Director of Philanthropy, you will play a pivotal role in growing and sustaining The GroundTruth Project’s mission by leading fundraising efforts, donor relations, and grant management. This is a full-time leadership position reporting to the Chief Development Officer. You will design and implement strategic fundraising initiatives, cultivate relationships with donors, oversee grant funding, and manage a team of development professionals.

Grants Manager

We are seeking a Grants Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the grant development process. This full-time position is crucial in securing funding to support our mission. In this role, you will identify grant opportunities, write compelling proposals, manage relationships with funders, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Manager, Local News Sustainability

Are you passionate about the future of local journalism and skilled in fundraising? The Manager, Local News Sustainability will work with partner newsrooms to build their capacity to raise local philanthropic support. In concert with the Director of Local News Sustainability, this role will engage in one-on-one mentorship and host cohort-based fundraising advising in-person and through virtual tools. 

Fundraising Data Analyst, Local News Sustainability 

The Local News Sustainability Data Analyst will collaborate with partner newsrooms to strengthen their ability to leverage data for raising philanthropic support. Working closely with the Director of Local News Sustainability, this role will analyze newsroom fundraising data as well as identifying key data-driven trends and insights. 

Fundraising Trainer, Local News Sustainability

Are you passionate about the future of local journalism and skilled in fundraising? Join us as a Local News Sustainability Trainer, where you’ll empower newsrooms to thrive through innovative philanthropic support. Working closely with the Director of Local News Sustainability, you’ll engage in personalized mentorship and lead dynamic cohort-based fundraising training, both in-person and virtually. Help shape the narrative of local news by equipping newsrooms with the tools they need to secure funding and enhance their impact in the community.
