Beat: Community coverage in East L.A. and Boyle Heights
East L.A. and Boyle Heights, home to a large Latino immigrant population, are rich in culture but lack consistent, trusted news that addresses community needs. Boyle Heights Beat (BHB) delivers bilingual, daily news coverage rooted in trust and inclusion, with a focus on public safety, environmental health and resources. BHB empowers reporters to amplify underrepresented voices, foster civic participation and provide authentic stories that reflect the community's daily lives and challenges.
