Anita Li covers education for the Prince William Times. Li’s passion for local nonprofit news started when she interned for WLRN, Miami’s NPR station. She graduated from Northwestern University, where she reported for The Daily Northwestern. She has also interned at FOX 5 DC. She speaks Mandarin and Spanish, and is always on the hunt for a good tiramisu.
Beat: Education beat reporter
The Prince William County education beat reporter covers a major school district with 90,000 children, including 70 percent children of color and 31 percent economically disadvantaged students. The reporter will write daily and enterprise stories and help grow our coverage of diverse communities. Our goal over the next two years is to reorient our coverage to connect more deeply and authentically with our many ethnic communities. The education beat is a key part of that strategy.
