The Bowling Green Daily News, a news site and the area's only daily paper, is the main news source in south central Kentucky. The primary coverage area is the city of Bowling Green and Warren County. Founded in 1884, The Daily News remains a family-owned business with a mission to provide comprehensive and contextual news coverage.

The Iowa Capital Dispatch is a hard-hitting, independent news organization dedicated to connecting Iowans to their state government and its impact on their lives. The Capital Dispatch combines state government coverage with relentless investigative journalism, deep dives into the consequences of policy, political insight, and principled commentary. The Iowa Capital Dispatch is part of States Newsroom, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by grants and a coalition of donors and readers. It retains full editorial independence.

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is the product of the 1995 merger of the Milwaukee Journal and Milwaukee Sentinel, newspapers that date to 1882 and 1837, respectively. After two transitions, we are part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, which includes 10 other newsrooms in Wisconsin and 109 newsrooms nationwide. While we regularly do stories with national interest and impact, our focus is fiercely local. We cover Milwaukee, southeastern Wisconsin and the state like no one else does—or can. We are most proud of the day-to-day reporting that chronicles our community, informs our residents and holds officials accountable for what they do. We expose wrongdoing. We highlight programs that work. We engage the community. We help lead the search for solutions.

Minnesota Reformer

The Minnesota Reformer is a nonprofit, nonpartisan news organization covering state politics and policy. We focus on enterprise journalism — investigations, analysis, storytelling. We're ferreting out corruption and watching out for corporate influence in government decisionmaking. We're telling stories of people often left out of the usual media narratives. We're getting policymakers focused on the most important problems and how to fix them. The Reformer is part of States Newsroom, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by grants and a coalition of donors and readers. It retains full editorial independence.

Mississippi Free Press

The mission of the Mississippi Free Press, a nonprofit statewide newsroom, is to publish deep public-interest reporting into causes of and solutions to the social, political, and systemic challenges facing all Mississippians and their communities. We interrogate and report the systems that cause inequities on the road to lasting solutions through a mixture of narrative storytelling, data reporting, historic context and community dialogue through solution circles in under-reported communities to discover report causes and roots of inequities, followed by solutions journalism.

NJ Spotlight News

NJ Spotlight News is a pioneering partnership between NJ Spotlight’s digital newsroom and NJ PBS, New Jersey's public television network. As the largest nonprofit newsroom dedicated to the state of New Jersey, NJ Spotlight News covers important issues in education, health care, public policy, politics and the environment on multiple platforms: traditional broadcast, digital reporting, social media content and live journalism roundtables.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat is the flagship of Sonoma Media Investments, a privately held news group serving Northern California's Wine Country. It is the largest news organization between San Francisco and Portland, Oregon, providing breaking news and sophisticated enterprise around key issues including the ongoing drought, wildfires, and children’s health and well-being. The Press Democrat won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the wildfires that killed killed 44 people and destroyed 6,000 homes.

Uvalde Leader-News

The Uvalde Leader-News is a semi-weekly, locally-owned newspaper that traces its beginnings to 1879. The newspaper's primary coverage area is Uvalde County (population 27,000), which includes the city of Uvalde with 17,000 residents. Virtually all of our content, which includes extensive coverage of local governmental bodies, is produced by our five-person newsroom staff.

WFIU/WTIU News – Indiana Public Media

WFIU/WTIU News is the NPR/PBS affiliate covering southern and central Indiana. Our radio and television newsrooms were among the first public operations to converge in 2010, reporting across platforms for radio, television and digital. Each day we produce 10 radio newscasts, two television newsbreaks, and a daily e-newsletter, plus weekly shows, features and a robust news website that serves our region with local news. Our team provides young journalists with excellent editorial support and mentoring.

WFAE

WFAE is the NPR station serving a 32-county listening area in the Charlotte region. Our mission is to produce journalism that informs, enriches and inspires. For 32 years, people across the Carolinas have relied on WFAE to offer comprehensive and in-depth reporting on the topics they need to understand, whether of local, national, or international importance. Acclaimed NPR programs and our local show, Charlotte Talks, continue to be cornerstones of our trusted on-air brand. Our increasingly diverse community consumes content through our broadcast signals, online at WFAE.org, through smart speakers, newsletters, podcasts and social media. Stories produced by our staff often air on NPR stations across the country as well as on BBC news.
