Position:

“Unlock the Ballot” is a journalistic initiative by The St. Louis American to inform local readers and audiences in the city and county about down ballot candidates and propositions, counter disinformation about elections, increase voter knowledge to provide more awareness about “voting to policies” pipelines that bring into sharper focus how voting impacts communities on the neighborhood level. It is also an effort to accelerate turnout in primary races.

Salary and Benefits:
$40,000

Full benefits, including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance and dental insurance. Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual begins on the first day of employment and can be used after [90 days (about 3 months)] of employment. Employees may accrue up to a maximum of 20 days of PTO based on years of service.

Moving Stipend:
We can offer a moving stipend of up to $2,500, commensurate with distance, for a corps member who lives outside of Missouri.
