This beat covers the impact of the decision-making and culture in Trump’s Washington on the residents of Florida. The reporter will examine the impact on the state from an administration that represents generational change in U.S. policy.
We’ll cover high-ranking federal officials who call Florida home, bringing accountability and a deeper understanding of the roles they play. Florida will change because of decisions made by the Trump administration. This beat explains how and why.

Salary and Benefits:
$76,000

88 hours of paid time off plus remaining holidays in 2025, plus an
additional 40 hours for paid time off for 2025, as well as for 2026 and 2027, beyond the standard paid time off allotment. Will also receive free life insurance (equal to the annual salary; if they choose, they can buy
more), access to the company’s health, dental and vision plans (1st of the month following 30 days of employment), participation in a tax-deferred saving plan, and after 90 days, free short and long-term disability coverage.
