Position:

This Native District beat focuses on reporting within Indian Country. The role involves investigating systemic issues, highlighting cultural preservation efforts, and amplifying Indigenous narratives. The position requires cultural sensitivity, strong reporting skills, and a commitment to equity, aiming to empower communities through authentic, impactful storytelling. This will also be a newsroom leadership position, requiring at least five years of experience in news and a willingness to mentor others.

Salary and Benefits:
$55,000 - $60,000

Benefits include a health insurance stipend, opportunities for training, attendance at industry conferences and workshops.

This position will be:
Work-from-home (based in the coverage area)
