New Mexico In Depth Inc.

New Mexico In Depth is a member-supported nonprofit digital news organization. Its mission is to better the lives of New Mexicans, particularly those from low-income communities, by producing data-rich, investigative stories that can be a catalyst for change. The staff's knowledge of state government and decades of statehouse reporting and investigations into the state’s largest institutions and systems, combined with strong data skills and ambition, results in impact that far exceeds their size.

THE CITY (City Report Inc)

The City, a nonprofit digital news platform, is dedicated to hard-hitting reporting that serves the people of New York City, and produces strong people-centered stories that are anchored by data and present policy issues in a clear and accessible form. This news organization was created to address the growing local news gap: crucial city agencies, neighborhoods home to millions of New Yorkers, and some of the most important institutions have been the subject of declining news coverage, or none at all.

Underscore Native News is a nonprofit public service reporting team. Its mission is to produce collaborative journalism framed by justice to promote civic engagement and a fair-minded society. The reporting is shared at no charge and is reposted by tribal and nontribal media throughout Oregon, the Pacific Northwest and nationally.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is the largest newsroom in the city and has a mission to report what’s going on in the community. Its reporters uncover the truth, protect the public’s right to know, hold community leaders accountable for serving the public, and document the region’s moments, milestones and people. This news organization is owned by Cox Enterprises, a private, family owned company.

Dallas Free Press

Dallas Free Press, a nonprofit news site, launched in January 2020 with the mission of amplifying voices and exploring solutions to the city's systemic inequities. It focuses community journalism efforts on three zip codes in South Dallas and West Dallas, which are predominantly Black and Latino neighborhoods, respectively.

Institute for Public Service Reporting at the University of Memphis

The Institute for Public Service Reporting is a nonprofit newsroom on the campus of the University of Memphis specializing in investigative reporting and in-depth explanatory journalism—an arm of the university with a firewall protecting their editorial independence. Its mission is to provide robust, civic-minded journalism that promotes a vibrant democracy, fosters inclusiveness and enriches the lives of the people of greater Memphis, including many underserved communities. Stories appear on its news site, and on The Daily Memphian, a nonprofit news site.

NonDoc Media

NonDoc is a nonprofit digital news organization with a mission to strengthen Oklahoma communities through responsible local journalism that is unbiased and free. It has also worked to fill coverage gaps at the Oklahoma State Capitol, in tribal elections and in rural communities.

The Courier-Journal

The Courier-Journal is a 153-year-old, Pulitzer Prize-winning organization that aims to provide trusted news and information to the people of Kentucky and southern Indiana. It provides more local news, on a wider variety of subjects, than any other media organization in the region. In-depth and investigative reporting are key missions, shedding light on crucial issues and often inspiring action and change.
