Spotlight Delaware

Spotlight Delaware is a collaborative, community-powered newsroom dedicated to informing and empowering the public to be a part of policy-making decisions in the First State. We specifically focus on government accountability, public education and land use, with an emphasis on providing a voice to marginalized and underrepresented communities in Delaware.

WBHM 90.3

Birmingham-based WBHM serves a city that is home to a vibrant arts community and a nationally-recognized culinary scene. There are auto parts manufacturers and chicken processing plants. Farms dot Alabama’s rural landscape. The University of Alabama at Birmingham is a major research institution. Hispanics make up a growing share of our area. WBHM is the lead station for the Gulf States Newsroom.

Daily Inter Lake

Published consistently since 1889, the Daily Inter Lake serves readers across the expansive Northwest Montana region through a robust print edition that is delivered six days a week and digital platforms that include timely news posts, and video and audio content. The newsroom prioritizes community journalism that helps local residents better understand their communities. The Daily Inter Lake was named the best daily newspaper in the state in 2023 and 2024.

Mission Local

Mission Local is more than a neighborhood news site. This nonprofit news organization, based in San Francisco’s Mission District, reports on the city’s most pressing issues: police reform, housing, homelessness and education. Mission Local focuses on producing trustworthy journalism, and stories are published in English and Spanish.

Technical.ly

Technical.ly connects and challenges a community of technologists and entrepreneurs invested in where they live. Founded in 2009, this newsroom reports in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Delaware, DC and Pittsburgh, with a mission to cover the intersections of the tech economy, entrepreneurship and equity. It emphasizes accessible, non-paywalled coverage that serves as a bridge between the tech sector and underserved communities.

Yakima Herald-Republic

The Yakima Herald-Republic, which publishes daily, is the largest media outlet in the Yakima Valley. It is dedicated to serving Central Washington with breaking news, sports and in-depth coverage. The newsroom also includes El Sol de Yakima, a Spanish-language website and weekly paper. The Herald-Republic is part of the family-owned Seattle Times company.

El Tiempo Latino

Founded in 1991, El Tiempo Latino is a leading Spanish-language newspaper serving the Washington, DC metro area. Its mission is to inform, empower, and advocate for the Latino community through high-quality, culturally relevant journalism. It focuses on issues that matter most to our readers, including immigration, politics, education, and community affairs, ensuring their voices are heard and their concerns are represented in the broader media landscape.

Mississippi Free Press

The mission of the Mississippi Free Press, a nonprofit statewide newsroom, is to publish deep public-interest reporting into causes of and solutions to the social, political, and systemic challenges facing all Mississippians and their communities. We interrogate and report the systems that cause inequities on the road to lasting solutions through a mixture of narrative storytelling, data reporting, historic context and community dialogue through solution circles in under-reported communities to discover report causes and roots of inequities, followed by solutions journalism.

The Atlanta Voice

The Atlanta Voice was birthed out of the Civil Rights Movement as a trusted, authentic, fact-based, and community-driven media outlet for the Black community. The 60-year-old publication amplifies the voices of those who need it most. We have a scrappy team of talented journalists who believe in the power of the Black Press and are committed to creating meaningful journalism. The mission is "to serve our community and give voice to the voiceless with honesty, integrity, and truth."

Enlace Latino NC

Enlace Latino NC was founded in 2018 and is the first non-profit Spanish-language digital-native news outlet in North Carolina. We produce useful, public service journalism about politics, immigration, and community and state issues of, for, and by Latino/Hispanic immigrants in the state. We publish independent, truthful and reliable journalism through our website, two newsletters, and a podcast, aimed at different Latino|Hispanic immigrant communities in our region.
