Verite News, a Black-led, nonprofit newsroom, was founded in 2022 by two veterans of the Times-Picayune, Terry Baquet and David Francis. Verite has a two-fold mission: to use the power of journalism to expose and dismantle inequities that affect vulnerable populations and to educate the next generation of journalists through our news fellowship program.

Fort Worth Report

Fort Worth Report, a nonprofit digital newsroom, was launched in April 2021 to provide original reporting on local government, schools, economic development, health care and other news in Tarrant County, home to Fort Worth. By providing free access to nonpartisan journalism about issues that affect the daily lives of residents, this news organization’s mission is to engage, educate and empower readers.

MinnPost is an independent, nonprofit newsroom producing in-depth reporting on Minnesota's most consequential civic and cultural affairs. We have no political or commercial interest. Our only agenda is to be a trusted guide. We expose problems, highlight solutions and inspire informed action. Our areas of greatest expertise include city and state politics, Minnesota's congressional delegation in Washington, health, the environment and arts & culture.

The Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting is the state’s only independent, nonpartisan and collaborative nonprofit newsroom dedicated to statewide, data-driven investigative reporting. AZCIR holds powerful people and institutions accountable by exposing injustice and systemic inequities through investigative journalism.  

Today’s New Herald

Today's News-Herald serves as the local news source for Lake Havasu City and Mohave County in Northwest Arizona. We're a small news organization with a big heart, committed to delivering local news and a tightly curated mix of state and national coverage. Our readers include longtime Arizona residents, snowbirds from the Midwest, Northeast, and Canada, and transplants from California, creating a vibrant and dynamic community that makes for an engaging news environment. Nogales International

The Nogales International is an award-winning newspaper founded in Nogales, Arizona, in 1925. It is published on Tuesdays and Fridays and is a division of Wick Communications Company. Wick Communications is a third-generation family-owned community media company with newspapers, websites, magazines, and specialty publications nationwide. Nogales is located on the U.S.-Mexico border. It is 60 miles south of Tucson, AZ, and 150 miles south of Phoenix, AZ. The Nogales International reports on issues affecting residents of Santa Cruz County, including Nogales, Rio Rico, Tumacacori, Tubac, Amado, Patagonia, Sonoita and Elgin. Articles about issues and activities in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, are also published.

KAWC News

KAWC Colorado River Public Media is a non-commercial, educational radio station. KAWC's licensee is the Arizona Western College District Governing Board. KAWC AM 1320 began broadcasting in 1970. KAWC FM 88.9 was added in 1992. In 2018, AM 1320 was added, the call letters were changed to KOFA, and the station was rebranded as Border Radio. In 2023, KAWC/KOFA moved to new studios on Arizona Western College's Yuma campus, so KAWC/KOFA provides 24/7 coverage to Yuma and La Paz County communities.

Enlace Latino NC

Enlace Latino NC was founded in 2018 and is the first non-profit Spanish-language digital-native news outlet in North Carolina. We produce useful, public service journalism about politics, immigration, and community and state issues of, for, and by Latino/Hispanic immigrants in the state. We publish independent, truthful and reliable journalism through our website, two newsletters, and a podcast, aimed at different Latino|Hispanic immigrant communities in our region.
