Fort Worth Report

Fort Worth Report, a nonprofit digital newsroom, was launched in April 2021 to provide original reporting on local government, schools, economic development, health care and other news in Tarrant County, home to Fort Worth. By providing free access to nonpartisan journalism about issues that affect the daily lives of residents, this news organization's mission is to engage, educate and empower readers.

Georgia Public Broadcasting

Georgia Public Broadcasting's mission is to create high quality programs and services that educate, inform and entertain audiences. GPB TV, Radio and Digital cover all of Georgia and adjacent counties in surrounding states. Operating across all platforms, GPB News is the local host for PBS and NPR news and produces stories of regional importance from its hubs in Atlanta, Macon and Savannah. With a combined broadcast and digital audience of over 4 million, GPB News is also developing a growing presence on social media.

Independent Newsmedia Inc. USA

Independent Newsmedia, with a mission of public service journalism, publishes community papers in Delaware and Maryland, including these weeklies: Dorchester Banner, Crisfield-Somerset County Times and Salisbury Independent, all on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Stories break on Bay To Bay News, the news site of Independent Newsmedia.

Interlochen Public Radio/Traverse City Record-Eagle

Interlochen Public Radio, an NPR affiliate based in Interlochen, Michigan, has a mission to produce high-quality work, offer a nuanced and complete view of northern Michigan, and lead in coverage of natural resource issues. The Traverse City Record-Eagle is a news site and a daily paper with a 165-year history of serving communities in northern Michigan—a steadfast source for watchdog and enterprise journalism.

KUAF 91.3 FM

KUAF, an NPR member station and news site, serves a 14-county area in northwest Arkansas, northeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Missouri with more than 600,000 residents. Its coverage area includes rural areas, and areas that are home to four Fortune 500 companies and some of the fastest growing communities in the country.

Michigan Chronicle

The Michigan Chronicle is a news site and a weekly paper that has covered the interests of the African American community in southeast Michigan, with a focus on Detroit, since 1936. Community leaders and residents look to the Chronicle to stay informed about issues that affect their lives.

Mission Local

Mission Local is more than a neighborhood news site. This nonprofit news organization, based in San Francisco's Mission District, reports on the city’s most pressing issues: police reform, housing, homelessness and education. Mission Local focuses on producing trustworthy journalism, and stories are published in English and Spanish.

The Commercial Dispatch

The Commercial Dispatch, a daily paper and a news site, has been owned by the same family for 100 years. The primary coverage area is Lowndes and Oktibbeha counties. Lowndes is home to a diverse economy. Oktibbeha's economy is largely fueled by Mississippi State University. This news organization tackles stories with down-the-middle reporting, but also believes a paper's editorial stances play an important role in a community. Its tagline is "Open eyes, open minds," a nod to its history of pushing aggressive watchdog journalism and a vibrant local opinion page.

Richland Source

Richland Source is a free, digital news site that covers Richland, Ashland County and Knox counties in north central Ohio. Its focus is solutions journalism and journalistic responses to questions posed by readers.
