NJ Spotlight News is a pioneering partnership between NJ Spotlight’s digital newsroom and NJ PBS, New Jersey's public television network. As the largest nonprofit newsroom dedicated to the state of New Jersey, NJ Spotlight News covers important issues in education, health care, public policy, politics and the environment on multiple platforms: traditional broadcast, digital reporting, social media content and live journalism roundtables.

WFIU/WTIU News – Indiana Public Media

WFIU/WTIU News is the NPR/PBS affiliate covering southern and central Indiana. Our radio and television newsrooms were among the first public operations to converge in 2010, reporting across platforms for radio, television and digital. Each day we produce 10 radio newscasts, two television newsbreaks, and a daily e-newsletter, plus weekly shows, features and a robust news website that serves our region with local news. Our team provides young journalists with excellent editorial support and mentoring.

Enlace Latino NC

Enlace Latino NC is a nonprofit digital news organization. Its mission is to empower the diverse community of Latino immigrants in North Carolina to become more involved in the political and social changes that affect them, by publishing independent, nonpartisan, public service journalism in Spanish.

WVIA Public Media

WVIA News is invested in local journalism and provides news coverage across television, radio and digital platforms as a joint-licensee station. WVIA is committed to ensuring a positive impact on the region and giving a powerful voice to the citizens in our twenty-two counties of northeastern and central Pennsylvania. With our mission-driven approach, WVIA educates, inspires, entertains and fosters citizenship, diverse cultures and perspectives to nurture community.

WGLT

Founded in 1966 and licensed to Illinois State University, WGLT is an NPR member station providing the highest quality local, national and international news, balanced with music and culture. WGLT champions independent nonprofit journalism as a public service with on-air and digital content freely available. WGLT also serves as a training ground for emerging journalists. In the last decade, WGLT has won nearly 50 awards for journalism, including six regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.

Houston Defender Network

The Houston Defender was founded in October 1930 and serves the Houston area which includes Harris, Fort Bend and Brazoria counties. As Houston’s leading Black information source, the Defender continues to provide the community with news, sports, lifestyle, business, politics and more.

Sahan Journal

Established in 2019, Sahan Journal's mission is to provide fair, groundbreaking coverage that illuminates issues affecting Minnesota immigrants and communities of color, and to chronicle how these communities are changing and redefining what it means to be a Minnesotan. We are expanding our audiences by partnering with ethnic news media in the state as well as two of the largest legacy newsrooms in Minnesota.

WHQR Public Media

WHQR is a publicly funded nonprofit radio newsroom serving the Cape Fear Region of North Carolina. As WHQR's newsroom, we are dedicated to fair, in-depth, investigative journalism aimed at holding local government accountable. While our radio waves extend beyond the county we’re housed in, our coverage historically has not gone as far out into rural areas. We aim to change that, and bring our caliber of watchdog coverage to government agencies in surrounding counties.

InvestigateWest

InvestigateWest is a nonprofit news organization founded in 2009 that is dedicated to change-making investigative journalism for the Pacific Northwest. The Northwest-based newsroom covers a range of topics including the environment and climate change, health inequities, social justice, voting rights and government accountability. Our reporting appears on our website and is regularly republished by 15 news outlets across Washington, Oregon and Idaho. We also frequently partner with national publications including The Washington Post, The Atlantic and The Guardian.

The Acadiana Advocate

The Advocate is Louisiana's largest daily newspaper, serving the cities of Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Lafayette with an average daily circulation of just under 100,000 and an online audience of 20 million page views per month. In 2019, the Lafayette staff was expanded, doubling in size, to reflect the company’s commitment to local journalism in South Louisiana. Our newsroom covers the parishes of Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, Iberia, Vermilion, Acadia and Evangeline.
