Mission Local is more than a neighborhood news site. This nonprofit news organization, based in San Francisco’s Mission District, reports on the city’s most pressing issues: police reform, housing, homelessness and education. Mission Local focuses on producing trustworthy journalism, and stories are published in English and Spanish.

Racine County Eye

Racine County Eye is the city's only locally owned and operated news source. Founded in 2013 to news information void, it is a hyperlocal news source with a focus on solutions-based journalism and strategic partnerships.

Spotlight Delaware

Spotlight Delaware is a collaborative, community-powered newsroom dedicated to informing and empowering the public to be a part of policy-making decisions in the First State. We specifically focus on government accountability, public education and land use, with an emphasis on providing a voice to marginalized and underrepresented communities in Delaware.

The Marshall News Messenger

M. Roberts Media is the parent company of seven award-winning newspapers and a variety of magazines and publications that serve Victoria and East Texas. The Texas-based titles include the Victoria Advocate, Longview News-Journal, Tyler Morning Telegraph, The Marshall News Messenger, The Panola Watchman, Kilgore News Herald and The Henderson News. Our mission is to produce valuable journalistic content that engages audiences and improves the communities we serve.

Boyle Heights Beat

Boyle Heights Beat / Pulso de Boyle Heights is a nonprofit news organization serving Boyle Heights and the Eastside with bilingual, community-focused journalism. Founded in 2010 as a youth journalism program, it has evolved into a trusted news source publishing daily online, quarterly in print, and through a podcast and newsletter. Dedicated to “noticias por y para la comunidad,” or “news by and for the community,” BHB engages residents with information, resources, and stories that reflect their needs and amplify local voices.

Sierra Pfeifer

A native of Hillsborough, North Carolina, Sierra Pfeifer is a mental health and addiction reporter for KOSU in Oklahoma. Previously, Pfeifer served as the audio editor for The Daily Tar Heel, where she led a team covering everything from local politics to the UNC-Duke rivalry. She also served as the producer for Carolina Connection, a student-run radio show covering higher education, and worked as a reporter for local radio station WCHL. Pfeifer was a part of NPR’s Next Generation Radio fellowship, where she put together a non-narrated audio story covering modern ties to “home” in the American South, and won first place in the National Hearst Audio Competition this year. In her free time, she likes making collages and wading through creeks.  

Estefanía Pinto Ruiz

Estefanía Pinto Ruiz covers environmental policies and regulations impacting the Mississippi River basin and explores potential solutions to ensure its sustainability. Before joining KWQC-TV 6 in Davenport, Iowa, Estefania interned as a culture reporter in Colombia's most widely read newspaper, EL TIEMPO.  She holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication from the University of Florida and worked as an editor at WUFT News, focusing on their Spanish content. She also mentored students in reporting Latin American news in Spanish.  Estefania is a proud Colombian, so she is always looking for Colombian food and hosting a listening club for her favorite podcast, Radio Ambulante, to speak her native language to stay connected to her roots.

Isabella Aldrete

Isabella Aldrete is a bilingual journalist for The Nevada Independent. She covers political races up and down the ticket, as well as the Legislature and how policies affect Latinos. Prior to joining Report for America, Aldrete interned for NBC News. There, she covered everything from Sam Altman’s investments to the CHIPs Act. Aldrete also worked at the Dow Jones News Fund, covering workplace benefits for Employee Benefit News. She’s a 2024 graduate of Barnard College.

Borderless Magazine is a nonprofit news outlet that is reimagining immigration reporting. Borderless covers labor and justice, among other issues, for Midwestern immigrant communities.

KBIA and the Missouri School of Journalism

KBIA News is an award-winning, innovative newsroom located in the university town of Columbia, on the campus of the Missouri School of Journalism. Reporters at KBIA News cover this dynamic Mid-Missouri community, coach and edit journalism students, and file reports and features to NPR and other national programs. KBIA News enjoys close collaborations with Harvest Public Media, Side Effects Public Media, and with innovative campus organizations such as the Reynolds Journalism Institute.
