Montana Free Press is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, nonpartisan, public-powered news organization dedicated to reaching and serving the information needs of all Montanans by producing in-depth news, information, and analysis. MTFP's mission is to provide Montanans access to high-quality journalism that creates positive change and helps move society toward justice and equity.

Signal Cleveland

Signal Cleveland is the inaugural newsroom in the Signal Ohio network of independent, community-led, nonprofit newsrooms. We’re on a mission to ensure all residents of Greater Cleveland have the local news and information they need and want. At the heart of what we do are Cleveland Documenters, a group of about 950 Greater Cleveland residents who represent almost every ZIP code in the county. We train and pay them to cover public meetings. Together, we are a primary source of information for residents who may not otherwise have access to trusted local journalism.

Fort Worth Report

Fort Worth Report, a nonprofit digital newsroom, was launched in April 2021 to provide original reporting on local government, schools, economic development, health care and other news in Tarrant County, home to Fort Worth. By providing free access to nonpartisan journalism about issues that affect the daily lives of residents, this news organization’s mission is to engage, educate and empower readers.

The Current GA is an independent, nonprofit news site serving Coastal Georgia. We aim to fill knowledge gaps through in-depth, explanatory and investigative journalism. We work to reach readers from every corner of the area so they can make informed decisions and hold leaders accountable for policy that will determine the future for the region.

We're a small news organization with a big heart, committed to delivering local news and a tightly curated mix of state and national coverage. Our readers include longtime Arizona residents, snowbirds from the Midwest, Northeast, and Canada, and transplants from California, creating a vibrant and dynamic community that makes for an engaging news environment. The weekly online publication’s mission is to inform the public of important issues affecting their lives, uncover societal ills, expose wrongdoing and hold the powerful accountable. Founded in 2021 and journalist-owned, The Rambler is the go-to source for local news in the Roanoke Valley about city government and politics, business, racial and social justice issues and the environment.

The Kingsport Times News serves readers in Eastern Tennessee and Southwest Virginia with comprehensive local coverage, from breaking news to community events. Committed to journalistic integrity, it delivers the stories that matter most to its readers. Underscore Native News produces Indigenous-centered journalism that illuminates the intersections of sovereignty and justice and portrays the rich diversity of Native communities in the Pacific Northwest. We aim to produce thoughtful, revelatory stories that might otherwise go unreported and unheard, focusing exclusively on tribal communities and the issues that impact them. Through this work, we seek to forge a more equitable media ecosystem, strengthen democracy and improve diversity and representation in journalism.
