Wyoming Public Media

Wyoming Public Media is a statewide broadcaster that serves all of Wyoming. WPM is Wyoming's NPR affiliate. The news department has 10 full-time personnel, including the news director, managing editor, reporters for tribal/rural, energy/natural resources, state government, state roving, and podcast areas. WPM is a founding member of the Mountain West News Bureau/NPR regional network. The news department is an award-winning department with several regional Murrows to its credit.

Bridge Michigan

Since 2011, Bridge Michigan has pursued a mission of making Michigan better through high-quality, nonpartisan journalism and engagement. Bridge Michigan provides in-depth coverage of state government and how its policies affect people’s lives, with an emphasis on politics, education, health, business, data and the environment. In 2025, Bridge Michigan introduced two regional newsletters, offering readers localized reporting on the issues and stories most relevant to their communities.

Michigan Chronicle

For 90 years, the Michigan Chronicle has been a trusted voice for Detroit’s Black community, amplifying stories that matter, shaping public discourse, and making sure leaders do what they say. The Chronicle is rooted in legacy yet driven by innovation. The Michigan Chronicle is more than a news organization. It is community partner celebrating progress, challenging inequity, and documenting history as it’s being made.

The Baltimore Banner

The Baltimore Banner is a Pulitzer Prize-winning nonprofit newsroom founded to bring high-quality local journalism to the Baltimore metro area. We are creating a vibrant, strong, trustworthy, and sustainable news organization, seeking to re-imagine the future of local news. Using a multi-platform news operation, covering a broad range of topics from local government to culture and the arts. We tell stories that reflect the community, connecting neighbors, holding government institutions accountable and making sense of the world. All this work is grounded in truth. We believe we can contribute to a more vibrant, informed and whole Baltimore, surrounding counties and state of Maryland.

Southeast Missourian

Started in 1904, the Southeast Missourian, founded in 1904, is a family-owned, community newspaper focused on hyper-local news, features and sports coverage.

Bucks County Beacon

The Bucks County Beacon is an independent media outlet producing fearless, fact-based journalism. We are committed to reporting the stories that other local media outlets can’t or don’t cover, especially the growing threat of extremism and disinformation to our schools, government, and democracy. We are building a sustainable, reader-supported news organization to fill the local information gap, rooted in transparency and community accountability. Our mission is to strengthen our communities, increase civic engagement, and empower residents to make informed decisions. We are focused on providing the resources, like our local voter guides, that create a more informed electorate. We also believe in highlighting the community members who live and work here, publishing diverse local writers and activists. We believe this work fosters a community where every resident is informed, engaged, and empowered to shape its future.

Minnesota Star Tribune

With more than 230 journalists, the Minnesota Star Tribune is the largest newsroom in the Midwest and a trusted local news organization nationwide. Th Star Tribune earned this trust through Pulitzer Prize-winning reporting and a deep commitment to accuracy and fairness. In 2024, the Star Tribune rebranded as The Minnesota Star Tribune, reflecting its investment as a statewide news organization.

Austin Free Press

Austin Free Press is a non-profit, digital news platform, who seeks input from community members to guide content. Before publishing we partnered with our local historically Black university, Huston-Tillotson, to train underrepresented students as journalists and to write for AFP. Our goal is to increase accuracy in news reporting by centering our coverage on underserved communities and issues, and promote civil dialogue to empower all Austinites to make more informed decisions about our community.

Arkansas Times

The Arkansas Times is a feisty, busy monthly magazine and website in Little Rock. We aim to cover culture, politics, education and government in this deep-red state through a progressive lens.

CivicLex

CivicLex is a nonprofit organization working to strengthen civic health in Lexington by helping our community understand and get involved in local issues, connect with their neighbors, and have a say in decision making.
