Chestnut Hill Local

The Chestnut Hill Local (CHL) is a 66-year-old community weekly newspaper and online news site that was named Pennsylvania’s best weekly publication in 2023 and 2024 by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association. Though initially created to serve the residents of Chestnut Hill, the Local’s scope has expanded to serve Northwest Philadelphia. It provides relevant, consistent and important information across platforms and strategic initiatives including community engagement activities, collaborations, award-winning journalism, geographically-specific digital content, newsletters and a print newspaper.

Connecticut Public

Connecticut Public is Connecticut’s only state-wide, community-supported public media service. We’re a member station of NPR and PBS. We produce several daily radio newscasts and talk shows. We feature news online at ctpublic.org. We are a nonprofit newsroom with high standards and high expectations. We want to be a place where journalists can produce work that is relevant, impactful, meaningful and memorable.

Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post

The Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post is a 136-year-old publication in Gillespie County, Texas. Our publishing company also has produced a visitors guide magazine for the past 46 years, and publishes an award-winning wine and lifestyle magazine, plus assorted websites and an daily email newsletter. We strive to balance the needs of our traditional readers and the influx of new, entrepreneurial residents.

Gulf Coast Media

Gulf Coast Media publishes four newspapers in coastal Baldwin County, Alabama. Three are more than 100 years old. GCM is in Alabama’s fastest-growing county, where beaches attract tourists by the millions. Evolution is innate at GCM. Our print and digital products, harnessed with hyper-local reporting, aim to strengthen bonds at a grassroots level. Helping people – multi-generational residents, newcomers and visitors – feel connected to their home or haven through informative, thoughtful and fun storytelling leads the reins.

The Kingsport Times News serves readers in Eastern Tennessee and Southwest Virginia with comprehensive local coverage, from breaking news to community events. Committed to journalistic integrity, it delivers the stories that matter most to its readers. As part of a family-owned group of five regional newspapers, the Times News collaborates with its sister publications to provide shared content across print and digital platforms, ensuring timely and reliable news for the communities it proudly serves.

Rocky Mountain PBS

Rocky Mountain Public Media (Rocky Mountain PBS, KUVO JAZZ 89.3FM, and THE DROP 104.7FM) exists to strengthen the civic fabric of Colorado through public media. Statewide operations provide informative and educational content via television, radio, and digital platforms to five million Coloradans each year. The Rocky Mountain PBS newsroom aims to create a Colorado where everyone feels seen and heard. Maintaining a presence in underserved rural counties helps the Journalism Team achieve that mission.

The Ithaca Voice

The Ithaca Voice is a hyper-local independent non-profit news organization that covers the City of Ithaca and Tompkins County. As corporate media entities in the area have declined, The Ithaca Voice has made its mission to cover anything and everything newsworthy that happens in our community, from the good to the bad to the off-beat to the ugly. Our vision is to be enterprising, accurate and forward-thinking in our coverage to engage and inform our audience about the local issues impacting their daily lives.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette

The Cedar Rapids Gazette, founded in 1883, is the second largest newspaper in the state. This employee-owned media organization also operates a news site and hosts Iowa Ideas, an annual conference that examines issues facing the state, bringing people together to discuss challenges and possible solutions to make the community and region stronger. The Gazette has earned the Iowa Newspaper Association award for innovation four consecutive years.

Door County Knock

Door County Knock is an independent, nonprofit news organization covering Door County, Wisconsin. Knock reports stories on the issues, institutions and decision-makers that affect residents’ lives — including coverage of our county government -- as well as in-depth reporting on economic and social issues such as affordable housing, child care, mental health, addiction and development.

Traverse City Record-Eagle

The Traverse City Record-Eagle is northern Michigan's largest news outlet, operating print and digital publications, including a daily print edition, a quarterly magazine and two podcasts. The Record-Eagle has a strong history of strong watchdog reporting complemented by artful narrative writing. Our newsroom is situated in downtown Traverse City, but serves a five-county core coverage area as well as broad, growing sections of news desert in northern Michigan.
