Seven Days

Seven Days is a free weekly newspaper with a print circulation of 35,000 and a robust digital presence. It covers breaking news but specializes in long form journalism, publishing the kind of stories you'd expect to find in a national magazine. Founded in 1995, it’s now owned by one of the founders and 15 longtime employees.

The Maine Monitor

The nonprofit Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting publishes The Maine Monitor as a free digital publication to provide people in Maine with in-depth, nonpartisan, award-winning news which fills information gaps in investigative and rural reporting. Mainers in every county receive its newsletters and the newsroom supports Maine media by providing all of its reporting for free republication.

Yakima Herald-Republic

The Yakima Herald-Republic, which publishes daily, is the largest media outlet in the Yakima Valley. It is dedicated to serving Central Washington with breaking news, sports and in-depth coverage. The newsroom also includes El Sol de Yakima, a Spanish-language website and weekly paper. The Herald-Republic is part of the family-owned Seattle Times company.

Borderless Magazine

Borderless Magazine is a nonprofit news outlet that is reimagining immigration reporting. Borderless covers labor and justice, among other issues, for Midwestern immigrant communities.

KBIA and the Missouri School of Journalism

KBIA News is an award-winning, innovative newsroom located in the university town of Columbia, on the campus of the Missouri School of Journalism. Reporters at KBIA News cover this dynamic Mid-Missouri community, coach and edit journalism students, and file reports and features to NPR and other national programs. KBIA News enjoys close collaborations with Harvest Public Media, Side Effects Public Media, and with innovative campus organizations such as the Reynolds Journalism Institute.

KWQC TV6 News

KWQC TV6 is the legacy broadcast and digital news organization in the Davenport IA, Rock Island/Moline, IL market, serving the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois. KWQC, owned and operated by Gray Television, has consistently been the top-rated station for news and weather information. The operation produces content for multiple platforms around the clock. In addition to an unwavering commitment to local journalism and state-of-the art weather forecasting, the KWQC news organization is dedicated to serving their communities through local programming initiatives that support diversity and inclusion.

Planet Detroit

Planet Detroit is an award-winning nonprofit newsroom with a mission to produce quality climate, equity, health and environment journalism in the public interest that centers grassroots voices, holds power accountable, spotlights solutions and serves the community.

The Nevada Independent

The Nevada Independent is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, statewide news and opinion website founded in 2017 by veteran political journalist and commentator Jon Ralston. Our team of nearly two dozen produces ethical, unbiased and transparent journalism focused on politics, policy, education, business and the environment. The Indy also produces events, podcasts, videos and Spanish-language content. All our content is paywall-free. We disclose our donors, and are supported by readers, grants, corporations and event sponsorships.

WUFT News

WUFT News is a multiplatform, bilingual public media newsroom housed in the Innovation News Center at the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications in Gainesville. In operation since 1958, our coverage today includes digital, TV and radio reporting across 16 counties in North Central Florida. Our mission is to inform and connect our diverse audiences and communities by producing excellent, multi-format news coverage across our region while nurturing the next generation of journalists.

Sahan Journal

Established in 2019, Sahan Journal's mission is to provide fair, groundbreaking coverage that illuminates issues affecting Minnesota immigrants and communities of color, and to chronicle how these communities are changing and redefining what it means to be a Minnesotan. We are expanding our audiences by partnering with ethnic news media in the state as well as two of the largest legacy newsrooms in Minnesota.
