Investigative Post is a nonprofit investigative reporting center based in Buffalo, N.Y. It produces fact-based investigations and analyses on issues that matter to Buffalo and Western NY. Its goal is to expose injustice and malfeasance and hold those in power accountable.

Racine County Eye

Racine County Eye is the city's only locally owned and operated news source. Founded in 2013 to news information void, it is a hyperlocal news source with a focus on solutions-based journalism and strategic partnerships.

Seven Days

Seven Days is a free weekly newspaper with a print circulation of 35,000 and a robust digital presence. It covers breaking news but specializes in long form journalism, publishing the kind of stories you'd expect to find in a national magazine. Founded in 1995, it’s now owned by one of the founders and 15 longtime employees.

The Greenwood Commonwealth

The Greenwood Commonwealth was founded in 1896 by James K. Vardaman, who later became the governor of Mississippi running as a white supremacist. Although the newspaper became more moderate under subsequent ownership, it wasn't until 1973, when it was purchased by John O. Emmerich Jr., that it became the community daily newspaper it is today. The Commonwealth continues the standards Emmerich set by covering the entire community in a fair, comprehensive and aggressive manner.

The Roanoke Rambler

The Roanoke Rambler is an independent, hyper-local and investigative news site. The weekly online publication’s mission is to inform the public of important issues affecting their lives, uncover societal ills, expose wrongdoing and hold the powerful accountable. Founded in 2021 and journalist-owned, The Rambler is the go-to source for local news in the Roanoke Valley about city government and politics, business, racial and social justice issues and the environment.

The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate

The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate is a digital-only media entity. We're part of the Georges Media family which includes NOLA.com, The Advocate and The Acadiana Advocate. We serve a metro area of 400,000 with a staff of 11 reporters, editors and a photographer. We use our website, newsletters, breaking news emails and alerts to keep our community informed. We’re known for providing in-depth coverage explained in an easy-to-understand way.

Adirondack Explorer/North Country Public Radio

The Adirondack Explorer was founded in 1998 as a watchdog for the Adirondack Park region of Northern New York. The Park is a blend of private and public lands, with 103 towns and villages. The Explorer focuses on environmental and economic issues and the sustainability of this public park/community model. North Country Public Radio is an NPR member station founded in 1968 serving northern New York and Vermont, including the Adirondack Park. NCPR is a rural news service that seeks to tell the stories and improve the lives of people who are often overlooked by other news outlets.
