WPLN

Nashville Public Radio’s flagship news station, WPLN 90.3, is a dynamic local news provider that reaches more than 20 counties in Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. With a potential audience of over 2 million listeners, many of whom are located in rural areas outside of Metropolitan Nashville, our content is distributed through multiple delivery platforms and channels, via FM, AM, HD radio, computer streams, a robust website and podcasts. WPLN has an award-winning news team of 10 journalists: two editors, five reporters, two host/reporters and a digital director. Its mission is to create stories that help our audience understand the most important issues facing the community.

Vermont Public Radio

VPR knits Vermonters together with its statewide network, as well as serving “Vermontophiles” in surrounding states, Canada and around the world. We provide a variety of local and NPR and other programming, including two daily news programs, “Morning Edition,” and “All Things Considered,” a daily talk show “Vermont Edition” and our people-powered “Brave Little State” project. Our reporters generate dozens of newscast items and in-depth stories a week. And we maintain a robust website. We are a respected institution in our state, and recognized for innovation in serving our mostly-rural audience. As Vermont’s daily newspapers and commercial broadcasters are struggling and reducing staff, VPR is determined to work with our partners to preserve great reporting in all parts of our state.  

Maine Public

Maine Public serves Maine and also reaches most of New Brunswick, Canada, and parts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Through its radio, television, educational and Web services, Maine Public provides ideas, information and lifelong learning to a diverse public. The majority of these services are available to everyone at no charge.

Marfa Public Radio

Marfa Public Radio has always been a small station with a reputation for excellence in journalism. Based in Marfa, the station serves as the regional public radio station for all of west Texas. Our broadcast spans the U.S.-Mexico border to the oilfields of the Permian Basin four hours north. Over the last three years the station has increased its investment in local journalism. In 2019, our newsroom received three National Murrow Awards.

MPR News

Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) is an acclaimed regional and national provider of news and cultural programming that serves nearly all of Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin, the Dakotas, Michigan, Iowa, and Canada. MPR News provides daily reporting, analysis, conversation and debate. It has a large central newsroom in St. Paul as well as regional bureaus staffed by full-time reporters who live and work in strategic locations to ensure full coverage of the state.

New England Public Media

New England Public Media is an independently managed division of Boston-based WGBH Foundation. It was created in 2019 through an alliance between WGBY television in Springfield, Mass., and New England Public Radio, part of the Five College Consortium in western Massachusetts. NEPM is committed to serving the people of western New England by providing trustworthy journalism, cultural content, events and initiatives, educational services and community engagement. It serves more than 1 million households in western Massachusetts, northern Connecticut and southern Vermont.

New Hampshire Public Radio

New Hampshire Public Radio is a statewide news outlet operating eight transmitters and four translators and broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week. NHPR is committed to bringing the different regions of the state together through public service reporting. Its editorial strategy is driven by a desire to inform and improve the lives of the people it serves. NHPR delivers several hours of local news daily. It is the exclusive outlet for NPR news in the Granite State.

WBHM

Based in Birmingham since 1976, WBHM serves a city that is more than 70 percent Black and is home to a vibrant arts community and a nationally-recognized culinary scene. It’s grown more diverse. There are auto parts manufacturers and chicken processing plants. Farms dot Alabama’s rural landscape. The University of Alabama at Birmingham is a major research institution. Hispanics and Arabs make up a growing share of our area. Alabama has 14 Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the largest group in the nation. The radio station news staff includes one main editor, a part-time editor, one full-time reporter, two part-time host/reporters, and one digital news producer.

WFYI Public Media

WFYI Public Media’s mission is to empower, educate, entertain and connect communities through impactful journalism, inspiring stories and lifelong learning. This flagship NPR and PBS station in Indiana has a seven-person local news team and an eight -person regional health reporting team. The station also collaborates with partners in other states and nationally on five beats: government/policy, energy/environment, business/economics, education and health.

Connecticut Public (WNPR)

Connecticut Public Radio is a network of public radio stations that serve Connecticut, western Massachusetts, and eastern Long Island. It is owned by the Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network, which also owns Connecticut Public Television, and is affiliated with National Public Radio. Its mission is to inform, educate and inspire the people of Connecticut, connecting and empowering them through outstanding journalism, storytelling, education and experiences.
