The Centro de Periodismo Investigativo is a nonprofit that produces in-depth investigative journalism, published in both Spanish and English, and distributes its content free of charge to readers and media outlets in Puerto Rico and abroad. The CPI has won recognition producing stories on corruption, cronyism in government, electoral campaigns, and public policy in health, education, the economy and the environment. VTDigger is a nonprofit, digital news organization dedicated to covering Vermont. Its mission is to produce rigorous journalism that explains complex issues, promotes public accountability and fosters democratic and civic engagement. During its 15-year history, VTDigger has grown from a one-person investigative news outlet to one of the state’s biggest newsrooms.

Chestnut Hill Local

The Chestnut Hill Local (CHL) is a 66-year-old community weekly newspaper and online news site that was named Pennsylvania’s best weekly publication in 2023 and 2024 by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association. Though initially created to serve the residents of Chestnut Hill, the Local’s scope has expanded to serve Northwest Philadelphia. It provides relevant, consistent and important information across platforms and strategic initiatives including community engagement activities, collaborations, award-winning journalism, geographically-specific digital content, newsletters and a print newspaper.

Marietta Daily Journal

The Marietta Daily Journal reports the news aggressively, but with candor, discretion and fairness. MDJ serves Cobb County by providing a quality local newspaper and website comprehensive enough to be the only media our readers need while exclusive enough to be essential, even to readers who choose additional news sources. The first Marietta Journal was printed in 1866 on a hand press left behind by Union Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman’s army after the city was burned. The publisher wrote that he “summoned courage” to start the paper “when Marietta was a heap of ashes and a charred mass of ruins.”
