Yellowstone Public Radio

Yellowstone Public Radio, an NPR affiliate, is the largest public radio network in the continental United States. Covering Billings, Bozeman, Helena and the rural areas of Montana and Northern Wyoming, YPR is the definitive news source for many of rural listeners, distributing news content over its website and mobile app.

Ventura County Star

The Ventura County Star is a digital and print news organization that has been serving Ventura County in coastal Southern California for more than 90 years. We are the only daily newspaper located in Ventura County. We are a general news organization, with an emphasis on watchdog, government, health and environmental issues. Ventura County has a population of about 860,000. We cover all of the county’s 10 cities and the unincorporated areas.  

Valley News

The Valley News covers an area along the New Hampshire/Vermont border that includes more than 40 towns in four counties. The newspaper seeks to connect, engage, inform and give voice to residents of the Upper Valley with a focus on accountability for those in positions of authority, matters of public interest and enriching the lives of readers.

Traverse City Record-Eagle

The Traverse City Record-Eagle is northern Michigan's largest news outlet, operating print and digital publications, including a daily print edition, a quarterly magazine and two podcasts. The Record-Eagle has a strong history of strong watchdog reporting complemented by artful narrative writing. Our newsroom is situated in downtown Traverse City, but serves a five-county core coverage area as well as broad, growing sections of news desert in northern Michigan.  

The St. Louis American

The St. Louis American has covered the African American community since 1928. The Black-owned newspaper is now the largest weekly newspaper in Missouri. The American also is a 13-time recipient of the National Newspaper Publishers Association’s Russwurm Award, which recognizes the top African-American newspaper in the country. 

The Hastings Banner

The Hastings Banner, which has been in existence in south central Michigan since 1856, is a locally owned, quintessential family operation. The owner, with the help of his children, runs nine weeklies, specialty publications and commercial printing. His grandchildren help to maintain the property and produce Facebook videos. A small but seasoned news staff produce exclusive, comprehensive print and online coverage of Barry County, which has a population of about 62,000.

Richland Source is a free, digital news site that covers Richland, Ashland County and Knox counties in north central Ohio. Its focus is solutions journalism and journalistic responses to questions posed by readers.

El Perico/The Reader

The Reader (parent company Pioneer Publishing) is the original alternative news monthly in Omaha, NE, founded in 1994. It is known for its watchdog journalism and covering news the mainstream media misses. The print paper has citywide distribution and a robust digital site. With an exceptionally diverse audience, its readers are most defined by their high levels of engagement in the community (from voting to going out). El Perico is the original bilingual community weekly founded in 1999, serving Omaha's booming Latino community, becoming part of Pioneer Publishing in 2004 and going monthly in 2020.

The Columbus Dispatch

The Columbus Dispatch has been serving central Ohio and beyond since 1871 with news and information about central Ohio, the state and the nation. As a capital city newspaper, news about how state government affects Ohioans is a focal point. The Dispatch shares its reporting with news organizations across the state.
