Miami Fourth Estate is a nonprofit, nonpartisan hyperlocal news organization focused on bringing strong news coverage to Miami’s neighborhoods and 34 municipalities. Our mission is to make sure that residents of every town get the information they need about local government, the environment, business, education and other pressing community issues and solutions. We also believe in developing the next generation of journalists and are partners with local educational institutions.

The Nevada Independent
The Nevada Independent is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, statewide news and opinion website founded in 2017 by veteran political journalist and commentator Jon Ralston. Our team of nearly two dozen produces ethical, unbiased and transparent journalism focused on politics, policy, education, business and the environment. The Indy also produces events, podcasts, videos and Spanish-language content. All our content is paywall-free. We disclose our donors, and are supported by readers, grants, corporations and event sponsorships.
El Tecolote
El Tecolote began as a journalism project in a Raza Studies class at San Francisco State University’s newly created College of Ethnic Studies in 1970. Five decades later, El Tecolote continues to be free, circulating 10,000 copies biweekly. It is the longest running bilingual (English/Spanish) newspaper in the American Southwest. Our mission is to promote cultural arts, community media and civic engagement as a way of building healthy and empowered Latino communities. El Tecolote has a longstanding commitment to inform immigrants, which has proven crucial during a time of increasingly anti-immigrant sentiment.

Enlace Latino NC is a nonprofit digital news organization. Its mission is to empower the diverse community of Latino immigrants in North Carolina to become more involved in the political and social changes that affect them, by publishing independent, nonpartisan, public service journalism in Spanish.

El Tímpano
El Tímpano—Spanish for “eardrum”—informs, engages and amplifies the voices of Latino and Mayan immigrants of Oakland and the wider Bay Area. Through innovative approaches to local journalism and civic engagement, El Tímpano surfaces community members’ stories and questions on local and national issues, provides news and information relevant to their needs, and investigates the concerns they bring to our attention.
