The Statesman-Examiner is a weekly newspaper that lives and thrives by the drumbeat of “local, relevant and timely.” Based in Colville (population 5,000), we strive to represent each of the small communities in eastern Ferry County and all of Stevens County in northeast Washington state. We are the community storyteller and recorder of history. We inform the public and hold our public institutions accountable, serving as a fundamental support to a functioning and vibrant democracy.

The Inlander

The Inlander, founded by the McGregor family on the conviction that free and independent journalism helps a community thrive, has provided award-winning news, arts and culture coverage in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area since 1993. Talented journalists from all over have come here to be a part of something special. The Inlander is our name, but it’s also an identity, a frame of mind, a people and a place, bound by geography and core community values.

Salish Current

Salish Current is a six-year-old nonprofit, community-supported online publication providing Washington state readers in Whatcom, San Juan and Skagit Counties with daily, open-access local news, encouraging civil discourse, informed decisions and stronger sense of community. Our locally based reporting focuses on environment, justice and culture with intersections of health, education, transportation, economy, housing and culture, and local, state, federal and Indigenous governance. We report and edit according to Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics.

Coconut Grove Spotlight

The Coconut Grove Spotlight is an independent nonprofit news organization that covers Coconut Grove, a historic community of approximately 20,000 residents within the City of Miami., as well as Miami City Hall, which is located in the village of Coconut Grove. The Spotlight is dedicated to providing public service journalism that serves the entire Coconut Grove community and that faithfully reflects the full diversity and interests of the community and its residents.

Cardinal News

Cardinal News is an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan news site that serves Southwest and Southside Virginia. Our mission is to report the untold stories of Southwest and Southside Virginia, and strengthen the voices of the people in our communities who have been sidelined in the commonwealth’s political, economic and cultural conversations simply because of where they live.

The Yale Expositor

The Yale Expositor is a weekly newspaper founded in Yale, Michigan 135 years ago to provide local independent reporting in a rural community that is significantly isolated geographically and culturally from Port Huron, the county seat of St. Clair. The priority of the Yale Expositor is to ensure that the local farming community is informed on how policies at the state and federal level are affecting them, particularly in relation to environmental, zoning and public policy changes.

Mainstreet Daily News Gainesville

Mainstreet Daily News is laser-focused on local. We keep citizens informed about local news, sports and events, so they can stay safe, cast informed votes, and be a better neighbor in Gainesville and the surrounding area. We work to unify the community by reporting the facts accurately and fairly, so people can draw their own conclusions.
