The Fresno Bee

The Fresno Bee is the primary news source for the central San Joaquin Valley, covering a six-county area that is one of the fastest-growing regions in California. The Fresno Bee’s website is the most-visited website in the region, and its mission is to inform and advocate for the enhancement of life in the Valley.

WITF

WITF is a public media organization, based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We have a history of serving a 19-county region (nearly one-third of the state’s population) that dates back more than 50 years. We have been a leader in establishing collaborative projects and content verticals with other Pennsylvania public media organizations. WITF is a multimedia organization that delivers content to our regional audience online and on-air through our radio and television stations and website. The station’s content verticals include PA Post, Transforming Health and StateImpact Pennsylvania.  

WFAE / La Noticia

WFAE is the NPR station serving a 32-county listening area in the Charlotte region. For 32 years, people across the Carolinas have relied on WFAE to offer comprehensive and in-depth reporting on the topics they need to understand, whether of local, national, or international importance. La Noticia is a media company that produces the largest Spanish language newspaper in North Carolina. For over 22 years, we have been serving the growing Latino community in North Carolina with coverage of immigration, local and state government, politics, and community news and events. Our readers are immigrants from Latin America with a news source in their native language, providing them with the news and information they need to make informed decisions and help them adjust to the culture in the United States, in North Carolina, and in the cities they call home.  

Radio Bilingüe

The Radio Bilingüe (RB) Latino Public Radio Network is the leading producer of Latino-oriented and Spanish-language news and cultural programming in public radio nationally. We've been on the air since 1980. Our main national news platforms are 1) Línea Abierta (Open Line), the first and only live Spanish news and information program broadcast each weekday featuring top headlines, newsmakers and analysis, 2) Edición Semanaria (Weekend Edition), the only Spanish weekly news and feature public radio magazine, and 3) the website radiobilingue.org. These platforms feature reports and voices from Latino communities across the nation broadcast on our own 24 noncommercial radio stations in California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, and 65 affiliate stations across the U.S.

La Noticia

La Noticia, The Spanish-Language Newspaper, is the largest Spanish-language Newspaper in North Carolina. We have been serving the Latino community here for 22 years. We cover immigration, local and state government, politics and community news and events. Our readers are immigrants from Latin America who prefer to read in Spanish. They are new to the country and they rely on La Noticia to provide them with local news and information in their own language, that will help them make informed decisions and also help them adapt to the culture in the United States, in North Carolina and in the cities where we serve and they live.

KAWC Colorado River Public Media

KAWC Colorado River Public Media is a news service for western and southwestern Arizona licensed to Arizona Western College. Based in Yuma, Arizona, KAWC is one of very few public radio stations located along the U.S.-Mexico border. Our small staff attempts to cover stories in Yuma, Somerton, Parker, and San Luis, Arizona as well as San Luis, Rio Colorado, Mexico, in a geographic territory slightly larger than the entire state of Maryland.  

Iowa Public Radio

Iowa Public Radio, a member station of NPR, is a 26 station radio network with statewide coverage whose mission is to enrich the civic and cultural life in Iowa through high-quality news and cultural programming. Two of IPR’s stations will be celebrating 100 years of broadcasting in 2022, but IPR, as it functions today, was formed by the Iowa Board of Regents in 2004 to manage the day-to-day operations of all the public stations licensed to Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa and University of Iowa.  

The Oaklandside/Berkeleyside

Berkeleyside is a 10-year-old city news site that provides granular coverage of Berkeley, CA, a high-profile city in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our strength is in breaking news and in digging in deep on important issues of accountability. We have been successful in creating a loyal and highly engaged community of readers, and are seen as a model for digital local news nationally. We have recently converted to nonprofit status in order to create mission-driven newsrooms in more cities. Our first launch, in spring 2020, is in neighboring Oakland, a city of 420,000 in the throes of transformation.

The Baltimore Sun

The Baltimore Sun, founded in 1837, is the largest daily newspaper in Maryland, with a coverage area that includes Baltimore City and five surrounding counties. Much of The Sun’s journalism has exposed corruption and sparked changes, including the resignation of the city’s mayor this year. At the same time, we surface powerful, often under-the-radar tales and trend pieces, like the struggle of refugees in a Baltimore high school, or how the century-long history of a vacant house—which collapsed and killed a man—told the story of our city.

Boise State Public Radio

Boise State Public Radio serves two-thirds of the population of Idaho through a network of 18 transmitters and translators, primarily focused in southern Idaho. Boise State Public Radio is Idaho’s primary nonprofit, listener-supported NPR member station, serving both metropolitan and rural areas — from Boise to Twin Falls and McCall to Sun Valley. The organization’s mission is to stimulate, educate, inform and entertain.
